Compact sized, SoC based Set Top Box with the latest Broadcom chip
WALNUT CREEK, CA, November 15, 2012– SysMaster Corporation, a leading provider of VoIP, IPTV, Digital Signage and Wireless solutions for service providers, announces release of its powerful Tornado M80™ Digital Set Top Box—based on the industry leading Broadcom 73xx, 2000 DMIPs processor. Tornado M80 HD STB comes standard with 1 GB DRAM and 256 MB NAND Flash. The powerful processor and the increased memory results in a reduced zap time.
Tornado M80 supports the latest network protocols including IPv6 with MLDv1 and MLDv2, increasingly being used in corporate and service provider networks. M80 also supports Closed Captioning and EPG. The product features H.264/MPEG4, MPEG2, FLV and WMV/VC1 video compression, which allows it to deliver high quality video streams over IP networks with low bandwidth utilization. M80 supports most of the industry leading protocols including RTP, RTSP, MMS, HTTP and the increasingly popular HLS and RTMP formats. M80 ships with a JavaScript API Support, enabling service providers to build custom interfaces using direct HTML template modification or create their fully proprietary JavaScript.
