Atlassími Chooses SysMaster to Enable its Landmark VoIP Launch in Iceland
SysMaster’s Norfa System enables Atlassími to interconnect with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks operated by Iceland’s Tier 1 Carrier, Skyrr
WALNUT CREEK, CA, June 29, 2006 – The versatile Norfa System developed by SysMaster Corporation is playing a key role in Atlassími’s successful deployment of comprehensive VoIP services across Iceland.
In order to launch its VoIP offering, Atlassími, a growing services provider, needed seamless interoperability and connectivity with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks application server operated by Skyrr, Iceland’s primary carrier. The Norfa System supports nearly every communications protocol and interoperates smoothly with diverse vendor equipment, making it the optimal choice for Atlassími in exchanging voice traffic with Skyrr.
Within Atlassími’s infrastructure, the Norfa System accepts and bills calls from BroadWorks and also accepts calls directly from the public switched telephone network via SS7 links. Customers save in their ability to utilize existing SS7 infrastructure—in addition to the savings already offered by VoIP. By making possible uninterrupted traffic exchange between Atlassími and Skyrr, the Norfa System helps Atlassími provide rich, reliable VoIP services, now and in the future.
