Over the last few years HDMI has become the ubiquitous interfacing standard for all Video/Audio devices - cameras, camcorders, broadcast cameras, DVD-players as well as all types of gaming devices. As a leading player in IPTV business with the successful Broadcaster line of products, having a HDMI based Broadcaster was a natural addition to the product range.
The Broadcaster works by capturing digital video streams and converting them to IP Transport Streams. This ability lets the device receive video signals from multiple sources and send them out via IP to the set-top-boxes of the end-users. Broadcaster with its embedded streaming capability has the unique ability of transporting the streams via Multicast or Unicast. Broadcaster also has built-in authentication and limited billing capability, which makes it an ideal product for commercial establishments like hotels and MTU/MDUs.

The Broadcaster works with all popular video compression formats, including MPEG2, MPEG4 and H.264. An optional Flash streaming module can be added to the Broadcaster HDMI to enable streaming directly over the web, if required.
